Head to www.kartingsa.com.au to have look. You will have to go to the ‘calendar’ page and click the arrow to change the month from December 2018 to January 2019 to bring up the racing meeting list for next year.
Notable changes are;
SA Kart Championship goes back to a one (1) round meeting (venue TBA).
After 3 long years the Festival State Cup series is finally back!!!

We have decided that the December general club meeting need not be held as there is not a lot happening at the moment.

2018 State Presentation Dinner
Tickets are now available for the annual presentation dinner being held at the Port Adelaide Football club on Friday the 7th of December. Club Awards, State Awards and many ‘Give Aways’ will be on offer. It is a great social evening away from the track.
Tickets are Adults $50, Youth 13 – 15 years old $35 and children 4 – 12 years old $20. Bookings can be made through CMS under Karting SA. Look forward to seeing you all there. Bookings close on Monday the 3rd of December

2018 City Of Adelaide Titles
Pro Karts Pooraka will be supporting the 2018 City Of Adelaide Titles meeting this weekend! They will be sponsoring the meetings ‘Feature Class’ as well as prizes for podium places in other classes but that will depend on the number of classes and entrants, so get entered!!!
The race meeting has been reduced to a one day meeting (racing Sunday) and the format to be adjusted depending on entries and classes. The entry fee has been reduced to $70 and for those competitors that have already paid, you will receive a refund of $30. The track will be open on Saturday for unofficial practice but this is only for competitors who are entered in the race meeting on Sunday.
There will be NO security provided over the weekend. Camping is still available for people who wish to do so. To arrange camping please contact Brett or Warren as soon as possible.
Entries will be accepted on the day and a quick reminder to all ‘P’ platers that you are eligible to enter. This also applies to ‘E’ grade (practice) license holders who are eligible to have their one (1) permitted race meeting per year. Great opportunity to get out there and experience the thrill of racing.
We want to see as many racer’s out there as possible. Every entry counts and goes a long way to supporting the Southern Go Kart Club.

The 2018 Annual General Meeting is being held on Tuesday 13th of November at 7:30pm.
In order that there remains stability within the club, as per the club’s constitution, each Executive Committee position is a two (2) year term.
The Executive Committee positions becoming vacant for 2019 and 2020 are:

• Club Treasurer
The General Committee (1 year term) positions becoming vacant for 2019 are:
• Grounds/Works Manager
• Club Orientation Officers
• State Karting Council Delegate
• State Karting Council Co-Delegate
• Website Officer
• Publicity Officer
• Social Secretary
• Engine Measurer
• Track Safety Officer
• Canteen Manager
There are a further six (6) positions that make up the general committee. It would be great to see the many new faces around the club not only on practice and race days but also at the table with welcome fresh ideas.
The November general club meeting will follow at the conclusion of the AGM.

Congratulations to each of the competitors and a very special thanks to Sparky Marquis for putting up prize money for each one of the drivers on the podium. A great racer and a true gentleman. Southern thanks you for everything you have done for our sport over the years. We are sad to see you retire but wish you the best of luck in your future endeavours.
The track will be closed to all members from Monday the 24th until Friday the 28th in preparation for the SA Kart Championship round.
Track will reopen on Saturday 29th only for competitors participating in this round of SA Kart Championship.
Track will be available to all members again on Tuesday 2nd of October
